There is a lot of content out there and a lot of messages are being delivered to us every day. We can easily get distracted by shiny things that will lead us down a path we never really wanted.

The goal with personal branding is to really drive home the fact that you are an expert in your field! When someone you know is thinking about hiring a professional from your industry, you want them to think of you!
If you’re utilizing social media, work on getting consistent with posting about what you do. It doesn’t have to be extreme, just persistent.
What’s more personal than meeting people IN person! Even if you’re unable to meet up in person, so many networking groups have taken to the world of video conferencing via Zoom. Join Facebook groups or find networking groups on social media! Running a small business can be lonely and you never know the connections and impressions you can make with others.
Don’t be afraid to be yourself. If you’re running a small business, chances are YOU are your business – without you, it wouldn’t exist! Share your story and be transparent about your struggles. Studies have shown that we find relatable individuals to be more likable.
Show your face, and speak directly to your audience! This means having photos of you on your website and social media as well as telling your story on both.
