The Perfect Facebook Post Checklist

October 20, 2020

Sometimes it can seem like social media is just one big guessing game. Whether something will be well received by your audience or not can’t be guaranteed. But there are some tips and tricks that can prove to be very useful in the performance of your Facebook posts!

From images and graphics to target audience and timing – there are a lot of factors to consider when drafting up a social media post for Facebook.

If you’re looking for the perfect Facebook post checklist, we’ve got you covered!

1. Use killer copy

Especially in the world of social media, an amazing copy is super important. Facebook recommends keeping written content to a minimum, they say use images with about 20% or less of accompanying text.

That being said, with fewer words to use, you should be sure that whatever text you choose to include in your post is clear, concise, and on-brand to deliver the intended message without getting too wordy.

2. Include eye-catching photos or graphics

The last thing you want is to take the time to devote to crafting your amazing social media post and once all is said and done, your selected image comes up entirely pixelated.

Take the time to capture or source on-brand imagery that can be used for your social media posts.

If the imagery on your posts turn out to be low quality or cropped to a funky size, it will really give the wrong impression to your audience. And this could cause the post to perform poorly.

3. Consider the information that you’re posting about

If you want people to engage with and enjoy your post, make sure that you’re posting about something that your audience will find useful or interesting! In today’s climate, it is important to keep up with current events and current trends –  or at the very least, remain aware of them as you create on-brand content.

4. Give the reader an easy Call To Action

What action do you want your readers to take when they see your post? Make it an easy action to take with a link or button!

Your copy should inform and direct the reader toward your desired outcome. Do you want them to sign up for your email list? Read your blog post? Call your business for more information?

Whatever it is, make it clear and make it simple!

5. Target your ideal client or customer

What’s a good Facebook post checklist without mention of their targeting capabilities!

You know what to post about and what you want your audience to do with the post, you definitely want to be sure that you’re reaching the right audience! Utilize Facebook’s targeting technology to get your posts in front of the correct people.

We’re confident that if you craft your Facebook posts with this checklist in mind, you’ll improve your reach and gain new clients and customers. If you have specific questions about your results from Facebook posts, don’t hesitate to reach out
